Blackberry is back with two new smartphones, the Z10 and Q10. The Z10 will hit the stores first in Canada and the UK in February with a US launch date in March. The Q10 will follow in April.
Both are 4G LTE capable, the Q10 retains the physical keyboard while the Z10 is completely touch-interface. As for the specifications, the Z10 is can stand side-by side with the Samsung S3, the Apple iPhone 5 and the Motorola RAZR HD. It has pretty much what you would expect from a smartphone these days.
Where it stands out is in the interface. Blackberry has introduced, “the HUB,” which they are marketing as, “Designed to keep you moving!” With a swipe, users can check email, social networks, and message updates… anything dynamic in your life just by peeking at the HUB.
The operating system is all Blackberry, going with their own OS and promising nearly 70,000 apps available on launch. Blackberry is keeping the price point right with the competition, the Z10 will launch with a suggested retail price of 200 bucks. However, as of the announcement, investors are running away from the company as keeping up is not innovating. Still, the new Z10 is a solid choice and Blackberry fans will not be disappointed.
