Kangaroo Light is a shapeable, soft personal lighting solution for making the dark places of our day a little brighter. On the outside, a splash-proof silicon exterior covers twenty-four soft white LED lights that are Arduino controlled for customization. An accelerometer acts as the power switch; just tap the Kangaroo Light twice to turn it on and flip it over to turn it off. The power for the light is provided by an internal battery that will light up the unit for over two hours before needing a recharge through a USB connection.
Kangaroo Light is designed to be portable and lightweight making it a better choice for packs and purses than a bulky flashlight. Kangaroo Light is targeting a late 2014 release with an estimated 75-dollar price tag and is currently seeking funds through Kickstarter.
