Redbox Instant by Verizon Puts a Kiosk Right in Your HouseRedbox Kiosks are a very popular outlet for renting a movie and most of us know where the nearest one is when we want to watch something. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was one in every house?

Today they launched Redbox Instant by Verizon, a website where subscribers can access the Redbox movie library right in their home. Subscribers can go online, pick out what they want to watch and unlike the kiosk, you can then stream the show to any device you own. There are no DVDs to return or special trips involved just throw on your cozies, pop some corn and enjoy. If you’re not in the mood for a movie, you can also access several games instantly for the Wii, Xbox and PlayStation. Even though Redbox Instant is tied to Verizon, you do not need to be a Verizon customer to access the content.

The service is only eight bucks a month and this puts it right on par with Netflix who I am sure was thrilled to see this service launch. If Redbox is your thing, check them out. New subscribers also will get four free credits at the kiosk for when you are out and about.
